Housebroken:  about 90%

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  friendly but reserved, playful, happy 

Energy level:  medium

Fenced yard required?:   YES – she needs a safe place to play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  learning

Obedience training:  none

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK but is a bit anxious  

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats:  Will bark at them and chase them

Good with children:  hasn’t been around children in rescue but has a very sweet, gentle temperament and would probably be fine with older, calm, respectful children

 Adoption fee: $175

 Riley is just cute as a button and sweet as she can be.  Her curiosity is definitely piqued by squirrels and other small animals so providing her a secure fenced area to play in is necessary.  She would be very likely to run off chasing another animal.  She has a submissive personality with her foster siblings and enjoys having the other pups to play with. 

Riley is very friendly but she is not a lap dog.  She loves human attention but is not thrilled about being picked up and carried around.  She will jump up beside you in a chair or on the sofa, but that’s close enough for her!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Riley picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
