About Mango Grace

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black with White
  • Current Age: 5 Years 9 Months (best estimate)

Hi … my name is Mango Grace and here are some things you need to know about me:

Mango was a stray who ‘picked’ a family that she found. All the people in the family loved her, but Mango’s high energy and exuberance proved to be too much for their older dogs.  Her play style with other dogs is rough-tumble and in-your-face, and not all other dogs are OK with that.  Once she trusts you, she is a velcro dog with her people. She still needs more socialization before she can be a 'go everywhere' dog. Mango will thrive with a new family with people who have time to spend with her, who are willing to get training for her, who are willing to make sure she gets plenty of exercise … who are willing to love her and work with her to become the best dog she can be. Could that be you?

If you do not feel like you can adopt and meet her special needs, you can still help her by sponsoring his extended care with tax-deductible donations.  A one-time donation, or monthly or quarterly donations designated for Mango Grace's care will be appreciated.

Please read the rest of Mango Grace's bio below to learn more about her!

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  busy, wary of new people at first, playful

Energy level:  very energetic, rough and tumble play style
Fenced yard required?:   YES ... No Exceptions.  Mango would be a danger to neighborhood cats and possibly small dogs. She has a high prey drive.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO (but she could if she wanted to)

Social with cats: NO CATS … she plays far too rough and has a high prey drive

Good with children:  Her energy may be overwhelming for small children.  Will be better with children 12 years old and up

Adoption donation: $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Mango picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
