Here are some very important things you need to know about Emmett

Approximate age/birthdate:  early May 2014

Weight/size:  at 5 months, 14.6 pounds  (mom is about 30 lbs, dad is about 12 lbs)

Housebroken:  working on it

Crate trained:  working on it … can go all night without an accident

Personality: happy, playful, exuberant puppy

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high

Fenced yard required?:   YES so there is a safe place to play off-leash

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES … in the process of learning to walk on leash with manners

Obedience training:  None

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … sometimes seems a bit stressed and drools          

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES once introduced properly … a little intimidated by bigger dogs

Social with cats:  Likes to bark at the cats but doesn’t try to bother them

Good with children: Has not been around children in foster care but with his personality, we think he would probably be fine with older, respectful children.  The puppy energy might be too much for a toddler.

Adoption donation:  $175

Oh those fuzzy-faced puppies will get you every time!  (Sorry the pictures don’t do them justice … they’re lots cuter!) Emmett is one of a litter of four little cutie pies who will just love and snuggle you to pieces.  Not sure exactly what all is in the mix here but looks like there could be some shih tzu, some yorkie, some schnauzer … and something with some long ears!  Whatever is in the mix, they sure are cute and sweet.  Emmett is a little shy but it sure doesn’t take him long to get over it!

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Emmett picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
