Here are some very important things you need to know about Izzy
When I was just a baby, I ended up in doggy jail. I was scared but a lady came and took me and a few more pups to live in something called foster homes. Just felt like living with a famiy to me. I was so very happy, and my foster mom says I am a sweet, loving pup who needs to be with an active person or family who will include me in family activities. I like to play so I would really like to have a fenced yard so we can have fun outside. I've met some children at some of our events ... and I think I like them. The ones I have met have been really nice to me. I am an active and loving girl and I try really hard to listen and use nice manners. I have so much love to give and I will do my best to make you smile! Could you be my forever family???
Approximate age/birthdate: ~ October 2013
Weight/size: 50 - 55 lbs
Housebroken: YES … as long as you do your part taking her outside
Crate trained: YES
Personality: a typical rowdy, playful lab mix pup who just wants to be played with and loved
Energy level: Medium with bursts of high … although she does settle down nicely once she’s had a good play
Fenced yard required?: YES … she needs a safe place to run and play off-leash
Does he/she jump fences? NO
Leash walk: YES
Obedience training: Knows ‘sit’
Riding in vehicles: RIDES OK
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Social with other dogs: YES but should be slowly and properly introduced to new friends. As with all dogs, proper introductions are the key.
Social with cats: NO CATS ... She barks at the cats and would chase them
Good with children: We think she would be good with children 8 and over … old enough and large enough not to be intimidated by her lab-happy energy. We have seen her calm appropriately to meet and greet younger children which has been very endearing.
Adoption donation: $175
If you think Izzy might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Izzy picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email email@example.com if you have additional questions.
