Other important information:

Wynn is truly a Weimaraner girl through and through!  She is gorgeous, loveable, cuddly, and full of mischief – especially when you turn your back!  She even figured out how to open the pantry door at her foster family’s home and dragged all her new-found treasures - baby food, formula, pasta, and teas - all over the living room.

She's a sweetheart and she wants to be right with her person at all times. She needs a lot of one-on-one attention. She loves to cuddle, and so if you want an independent dog that lies around and isn't in your space Wynn is NOT the girl for you.

She not only wants to sleep cuddled up with you but she actually expects to be allowed on the bed. Her foster parents tell her ‘no’ every night, and every night she tries anyway. She even figured out that her foster Dad is the toughy on the subject, so she waits for him to leave for work and then gently crawls in next to her foster Mom … so gently that Mom doesn’t wake up!

She will probably be best with a very active family who wants her with them constantly. She has been OK with the baby in her foster home, but she is a bit rambunctious and might jump on smaller children.  She will do best in a home where she gets a lot of attention.  We would prefer placing her with a family who has experience owning Weimaraners.

She LOVES mud and puddles. We have to hose her off constantly, the silly girl. She's clumsy and beautiful and just a love. Per her foster Mom …. “I honestly wasn't expecting such a loving sweetheart when we went to get her.”

If you think Wynn might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have 10 or more applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Wynn picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is a $200 adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions about the adoption process.
