Pepper (formerly known as Sydney) began her happily-ever-after with her new family on May 16 2020!

Oh my … this girl is just too cute and sweet.  Does that adorable face make you smile? We’re not sure exactly what mix she is, but she is a little firecracker and definitely happy.  She can get vocal when she gets excited, she gives the best kisses, and she sleeps quietly through the night.  She would absolutely love to have an active family who will take her everywhere with them.  She wants to be loved and treated like an important family member.  Could your family be the one for her???

Approximate age/birthdate:  5-21-18

Weight/size:  ~15 lbs (adult size guesstimated to be around 25 lbs)

Housebroken:  Working on it … she does great as long as you do your part and take her out often.

Crate trained:  YES

Personality:  happy, playful puppy, sweet, very energetic

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high
 
Fenced yard required?:   YES because she is so young and she needs lots of exercise to make her a tired and happy pup!  Physical fence, no underground/invisible fence.  And she does not always come when called, so a fenced yard is for her safety.  Walks (even long ones) will probably not wear her out.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  Working on it.  She still pulls when she gets excited but she is a smart little one and she listens and takes correction well.

Obedience training:  No, but we think she would be a star in an obedience class with her new pet parent!

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK     

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES … she is a little excitable and may be ‘worrisome’ to older, more settled dog … but she is just playful.  Her play style is a bit rowdy. 

Social with cats:  Would definitely chase cats if they ran and would want to play with them if they sat still.  They might not appreciate her puppy-like energy.

Good with children:  Will probably be best with respectful, calm children ages 10 and up.

Adoption donation:  $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Sydney picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
