In May 2020 Mr. Walker adopted Brady from AAMR and on June 19, 2020 he added Zeus to the family. Two special needs boys within a month ... what a rescue angel!
Hi … my name is Zeus and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application
ZEUS IS A SPECIAL NEEDS BOY. HE IS WILL NIP WITHOUT WARNING.
Zeus is definitely a cute little guy, but he has been a ‘frequent flyer’ at the local doggy jail because he seems to like to wander. He thinks being so cute will get him off the hook. He is loving (once he gets to know you and trusts you), but he is NOT a snuggly lapdog. He is pretty quiet for a little guy. He does well with other dogs, as long as people take time to properly introduce them! He is not a true lap dog, and he doesn't demand, require or even like lots of in-your-face attention. He does prefer a calm, laid back environment. A new family will need to have lots of patience to let him get used to new people.
Zeus seems to have lived his life without a lot of loving human contact. He is not always sure how to handle people who want to be close to him. He is especially reactive when people get around his face and ears and his front feet. He is a challenge for the most experienced groomer as well.
If you do not feel like you can adopt and meet his special needs, you can still help him by sponsoring his extended care with tax-deductible donations. A one-time donation, or monthly or quarterly donations designated for Zeus's care will be appreciated.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Zeus picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed. Please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have additional questions.
