About BeBe

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Black

Hi … my name is BeBe! Please read my bio to find out everything you need to know about me.

If you think I might be the perfect pup for you, go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete the adoption application online.

BeBe is a great example of an amazingly wonderful dog with some special needs who needs a hero to be her forever person.

BeBe is a very sweet, shy, stunningly beautiful girl with lots of love to give!  She does great in her foster home, but when she was adopted several years ago, she got loose from her new owner after just a couple of days, and she was 'on the run' for a week before she could be trapped (and returned to AAMR).  She tries so hard to make everyone happy, and she loves having a routine so she feels safe.  BeBe loves people and finding the right people, ones who understand her potential to be a 'flight risk' and who will give a little 'extra' to make her feel safe and secure, is our mission.

Her new home MUST have a physical fence to contain her.  She always uses nice house manners and is definitely an 'inside girl'. The gorgeous pup with the soulful eyes is a smart and snuggly girl!  She loves attention and lots of 'good girls' and once she bonds with you, she will be the most loyal friend you will ever have.  Could she be a snuggly addition to your family?

Approximate age/birthdate:  ~ December 2013

Weight/size:  ~ 55-60 lb
Housebroken:  YES as long as you do your part and take her out regularly
Crate trained:  YES … she finds her crate to be a safe place

Personality: a bit shy until she knows you, happy, sweet, loving

Energy level:  Medium … she’s a sweet girl, and doesn't know what 'senior' means
Fenced yard required?:   YES - no exceptions - a physical fence (no underground or wireless) … she absolutely needs a place to explore and play safely off-leash.  She is timid and a definite flight risk. It is also necessary to keep the neighbor's cats and the community squirrels safe!

Does he/she jump fences?  NO (but probably could if she got spooked)

Leash walk:  YES

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK but does get a little nervous at first
Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES – at least with her foster siblings.  She (as with any dog) should be properly introduced to any new dogs before being allowed to run free with them
Social with cats:  NO CATS … she barks at them and we are sure she would chase them

Good with children: She seems to be OK with older children as long as they are calm and gentle with her.  Again ... proper introduction is the key.

Adoption donation:  $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if BeBe picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
