If you are looking for a beautiful, big (77 lbs big), gentle, loving Princess, Miss Bella Bcould be your girl!  This amazing girl is so easy-going. Her former owner loves this girl so much, but due to some very sad family circumstances, she knew it was time to rehome Bella B, and we are honored that she is allowing AAMR to find the perfect family for her. 

Bella B was raised as an ‘only child,’ but she has always had family doggy friends.  She is good with other dogs of all sizes, has ignored the cats, and her former mom says she is good with older kids/teens.  Now remember, she weighs 77 lbs and could easily topple a toddler just walking by them, so children 12 and older is a better plan.  She has been used to having a fenced area of her own, but she also walks well on leash.  She enjoys running and playing with some of her foster friends (not the really wild, unruly ones), and she has wonderful house manners.

Weight/size: 77 lbs

Housebroken:  YES

Crate trained:  NO … absolutely refuses to go into a crate of any size, for any reason

Personality: sweet, wiggly, loveable, happy, laid back

Energy level:  medium (and part couch potato)

Fenced yard required?:   Definitely preferred.  She should never be outside off-leash in an unfenced area for any reason.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk with manners:  YES

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’ (although her hearing is selective) and she does listen well when she wants to

Riding in vehicles:  seems to enjoy riding            

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES

Social with cats: Has ignored cats she has seen so far (but if she stepped on a cat, it would probably hurt!)

Good with children:  She is not fond of small children and will be best with respectful, calm children ages 12 and up.  She will bark when younger children approach her.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a home visit/meet-and-greet to see if Bella B picks you too.
