Hi … my name is Stanley and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
I AM A SUPER SENIOR AND I HAVE SOME SPECIAL NEEDS
They tell me I am a ‘senior’ boy … guess that means I am sweet and loveable. I wish I could talk to tell you all about my early life because the only thing anyone knows is that in 2017 I was found wandering alone and pretty scrawny and pitiful, almost hairless, on a dirt road. A Good Samaritan brought me into a vet clinic where one of the employees decided I was important enough to save. She got all my medical stuff up-to-date and had some tests run and they discovered that I needed some medicine because my thyroid wasn’t working right. They say I will have to take this medicine for the rest of my life and I guess that’s OK because I don’t mind. The nice person who had all my vet work done could not keep me forever, so she got me to AAMR where I get to live in a foster home where people love me and take care of me. I get healthy food, I have a soft bed, I get snuggles, I have other foster dogs to play with, and I am pretty happy. But I still really, really, really want to get a family of my very own who will love me and who will let me love them back. Could you be my new family???
Stanley is a wonderful little guy and he is doing well. Most of his hair has come back. We have discovered that he does best on no-grain lamb food and we add in some coconut oil to help his skin. He isn’t itchy and flaky any more and that makes him happier! An adopter will need to commit to his dietary needs and to making sure he gets the proper medication for the rest of his life.
If you do not feel like you can adopt and meet his special needs, you can still help him by sponsoring his extended care with tax-deductible donations. A one-time donation, or monthly or quarterly donations designated for Stanley's care will be appreciated.

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Stanley picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email email@example.com if you have additional questions.
