2020 was a great year for sweet Beethoven ... he has found his forever family and boy is he living the life! His amazing new family has adopted 6 lucky dogs from AAMR over the years, and they have all lived (or are still living) amazing lives ... the lives all dogs should be so lucky to have!  Happy Life sweet boy!

Hi … my name is Beethoven and here are some things you need to know about me.  After you read all about me, if you think you might be my perfect family, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and fill out your adoption application online.

Beethoven came to us from another rescuer, and she absolutely loved him.  He is a really sweet boy, and he usually seems to be pretty happy no matter what is going on.  Beethoven is a little anxious and skittish in new situations.  He is a bit of a flight risk because if he gets scared, he wants to run and hide. He needs a family that is patient and willing to protect him and make him feel secure and loved while he adjusts to a new life.  He is treat-motivated so offering treats makes it easier for him to loosen up a little!  What he really wants is a family with lots of love and plenty of time to spend with him.  Could that be your family???

Approximate age/birthdate:  April 23, 2017

Weight/size:  ~50 lbs

Housebroken:  Working on it … about 90% there

Crate trained:  YES

Personality: a little timid at first … takes a little time to warm up to new people, but very sweet, playful, pretty happy.  Probably not a great apartment/townhome/duplex dweller because he is a typical vocal hound and does have a 'big boy' voice.

Energy level:  medium with bursts of high when he has a playmate

Fenced yard required?:  YES … so he has a safe place to explore and play off-leash.  He is a bit on the skittish side and needs the security of a physical fence.

Does he/she jump fences?  NO

Leash walk:  YES … he is learning … still needs to learn to not pull

Obedience training:  Knows ‘sit’

Riding in vehicles:  RIDES OK … gets a little stressed at first

Spayed/neutered:   YES

Up-to-date on routine vaccinations:   YES

Microchipped:   YES

Social with other dogs:  YES … he is submissive and easily intimidated

Social with cats: Will bark at the cats and would chase them

Good with children: Has not been around children in foster care but we think he would be fine with older, respectful children.  He likes to play but is not so keen on people rough-housing him.

Adoption donation:  $175

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references.  Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process.  We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.

When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Beethoven picks you too.

If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.

Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com if you have additional questions.
