About Ringo

  • Status: Available for Adoption (adoption info)
  • Species: Dog
  • General Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn with White
  • Location: All-American Mutt Rescue
  • Housetrained: Yes
Ringo is a sweet yellow lab mix boy, probably 2 years old, and around 45 pounds.
He is a very sweet guy and you just melt when you look into those soulful brown eyes.
Ringo is a little reserved (probably due to not always being treated kindly), but once he trusts you, he thinks he is a lap dog! He has so much love to give and just wants to be loved in return.
He has done well with housebreaking and crate-training and he loves to be close to his people.
Ringo plays well with his foster pup siblings and he is fine with children and adults. He has not been around the cats enough to tell how he will be with them.
He really wants to make his people happy, and he seems to learn new things very quickly. We are working on ‘sit’ and ‘off’ commands. He also walks well on leash. Taking him to a positive-reinforcement obedience class would be a wonderful bonding experience!
Ringo has been neutered and is up-to-date on his shots, so now all he needs is a great forever family of his very own.
Ringo has jumped a 4-foot fence, so he will need a taller fence or possibly an electronic underground (invisible) fence. He is moderately energetic, but like all dogs, he needs to get adequate exercise daily to stay healthy and happy, so having a safe place to play is important. He would also be happy to go on long walks every day with his new family.

If you think Ringo might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org, click on Forms/Application and complete your adoption application online.
Please remember that pet adoption is a 10-15 year commitment, so we do not take shortcuts in processing these applications.
It takes an average of 7 days to process the application including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.

When your application is approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Ringo picks you too.
If it seems like the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email weluvpups@hotmail.com or call 434 841 0411 or 540 297 1590 if you have additional questions.
