Sammy needs very specialized care at this point and is no longer available for adoption, but sponsorship to help with his medications and vetting is appreciated.
In March 2020, Sammy was diagnosed with advanced congestive heart failure and kidney issues. He is currently on 6 medications twice daily ($225+/month).
If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation toward his daily medications, it will be appreciated. Please keep him in your thoughts. He is a strong, loving boy who is just not ready to give up yet, so we are doing our best to keep him comfy.
"Being disabled (or sick) should not mean being disqualified from having access to every aspect of life." Emma Thompson
This sweet senior boy has spent most of his life in rescue and we don't understand why. He is, and always has been, a great little guy. He has known lots of love because he has lived in foster homes with families, but they were never HIS family, although everyone at AAMR loves him. He is not a demanding guy, he just really wants to be loved! Everyday he gets love and kisses and kind words from his foster family.
Sammy has come to the stage of life where he just needs someone to take amazing care of him, make sure he gets all his meds, and love him. His foster family has taken on that role for now.
