Hi … my name is Gracie Marie and here are some things you need to know about me! After you read through my bio, if you think I might be the perfect pup for you, please go to www.allamericanmuttrescue.org/forms and complete your adoption application online.
I AM A SUPER SENIOR
I am at AAMR for the second time in my life. I was first there as an adorable puppy and I was adopted when I was just 6 months old. I lived with my family for several years. Things were good … they even took me to school and I got my Canine Good Citizen certificate. But then, for some reason, they gave me to someone else. And after a while, for some reason, that person asked some people in uniforms to come get me and some of my cat friends, and they took us to a place in Roanoke, VA with lots of other dogs and cats. They also gave the people in uniforms some papers. I can’t read, but it seems like those papers told them about me being at AAMR because in a couple of days, some people I knew came to Roanoke to get me. And here I am … back with AAMR people who love me, in a foster home and looking for a new family to love me forever. Could that be you???

Obedience training: Went to school and passed her Canine Good Citizen test … but she could use some refreshers! (Although she’s very good at stealing food off a table and finding a treat buried under a ton of other stuff!)
Riding in vehicles: RIDES well
Up-to-date on routine vaccinations: YES
Social with other dogs: YES and she does better with larger dogs. She does not have patience with busy little dogs.
Social with cats: Is ‘interested’ in cats but doesn’t seem like she wants to harm them

We are an all-volunteer group, so please be patient and understand that it takes an average of 7-14 days to process the applications including reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits. You can expedite the process by providing accurate email addresses for all your references. Time to make phone calls is limited and we often have multiple applications in process. We make every effort to move through them as quickly as possible.
When your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if Gracie Marie picks you too.
If it seems that the adoption will be a good match for all, there is an adoption fee, and an adoption contract to be signed.
Please feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org you have additional questions.
