Current Scheduled Events: Horse and Hound Wine Festival Saturday July 10th, 2010 11:00 AM until 06:00 PM Location: Peaks of Otter Winery (540) 386-3707 Map: 2122 Sheep Creek Road Bedford VA 24523 This such a great family event … and the one you don’t want to miss! Ticket prices are: Tasters (21 and over):$15.00 at the gate or $10.00 in advance General Admission: $10.00, Children under 12: $5.00, Dogs: $5.00 Children under 2 Free AAMR will be running the new Scavenger Hunt event for the festival and a new Hide-and-Seek competition. We will need LOTS of volunteers for this great event, so if you will be available for all or part of that day, please let us know. This is a pet-friendly event. Leashed, well-behaved pets are invited to attend Click here for more information Bedford CenterFest Saturday September 25th, 2010 10:00 AM until 06:00 PM Location: downtown Bedford Map: Bridge and Main Streets Bedford VA 24523 Bedford’s annual street festival and this is the 39th year! This is always a great day … except when it rains. Please do the Sunny Day Dance for this year’s event! There isn’t a lot of information about this year’s festival yet … but if you have ever attended, you know it’s a lot of fun. Both Main Street and Bridge Street are closed to vehicle traffic for the day and there are vendors, food, a kids’ play area, lots of music on several stages … and more! The festival hours are 10am – 6pm. NO PETS ALLOWED. Yard Sale, Etc Saturday October 2nd, 2010 8:00 AM until 02:00 PM Location: Westside Food Mart (540) 586-4776 Map: 942 Blue Ridge Ave Bedford VA 24523 See all of the animals attending this event. We're having a yard sale to benefit the AAMR pups. Plans are being made and donations of items to sell are being accepted! We're hoping to invite in a few other vendors and possibly have a bake sale and make it a really Fall Celebration! People and Pets Portraits Saturday November 13th, 2010 10:00 AM until 05:00 PM Location: Westside Food Mart (540) 586-4776 Map: 942 Blue Ridge Ave Bedford VA 24523 See all of the animals attending this event. Think unique and special Christmas gifts! Professional portraits of you, your children, your pets! We did this last year and it was a great success. Lots of $$ raised for the pups and lots of happy families with their wonderful portraits. If we fill all our Saturday time slots early, we may have the option to add on Sunday time slots.
