Look at this smiling face!  Patches is an adorable hound mix girl who was wandering around and 'found' a caring, compassionate family.  Unfortunately they couldn't keep her, but they definitely wanted to make sure she gets into a home with a family who will love her forever, so they called on AAMR for assistance.  She is an absolutely wonderful girl who is just full of love she wants to share with a new family of her very own.

At first Patches was very shy, but she had now decided that being close to people is a good thing!  She is very playful and wants to stay where she can see her people at all times!  She was probably born late 2008 or early 2009 and she is around 50 pounds.  She is spayed, microchipped and updated on all her shots.  Now she's just waiting for the perfect family to find her!

Patches is a medium- to high-energy girl so she really needs a fenced yard.  She would probably train easily to an underground fence as well.  An active family who would include her in family activities would be a dream-come-true for her!  Due to her size/energy combination, she will be better suited to a family with older/larger children.

We are an all-volunteer group so please be patient as we process applications.  It generally takes 7-14 days to complete reference checks, follow-up questions and home visits.  Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if you and Patches are a good match.
If everything seems to be good, there is an adoption fee and an adoption contract.
